BIBac Project

The BIBac project was born from the initiative of co-working between the Vice-rectorships of Inclusion, Sustainability and Sports (through the Disability Support Unit) and the Vice-rectorate of Research of the UMH (through the LIBRARY Service), and thanks to the invaluable support of the Francisco Carreño Chair.

The main objective of this project is to provide accessibility, through the Library Service, to all those people with functional diversity, whether they are members of the university community or not, making all the available resources available to them.

The target population of BIBac is the university community of the UMH, although it is also open to the entire population of the city of Elche, being the Miguel Hernández University, through the Library, the one that serves this sector of the population.

With this project, the Miguel Hernández University of Elche aims to improve the level of educational quality of its students and facilitate accessibility to all those with visual, hearing, physical and even cognitive disabilities by also improving the signage of the Library spaces.

In order to use this service, it is necessary to have an official certificate of functional diversity of 33% or more.

Services for users with functional diversity "BIBAC"
