The TIU is the card that the Miguel Hernández University issues to its students, teaching and research staff, administration and services staff, scholarship holders, visitors, etc. and which certifies that they belong to the UMH university community.

In order to use the library loan service you must present it at the loan desk, in either of its two versions, physical or virtual. The latter has a more portable format, which can be shown using the UMHapp mobile application (available on Android and iOS).

Both versions of the card have the same validity to prove membership of the UMH community. From December 2022, for new registrations, only the virtual mode will be issued.

If you do not have the TIU with you when you use the home loan service, you can also present any of the following official documents at the loan desk: ID card, driving licence or passport.
