Exhibition #HicieronHistoria in the BiblioLab Creativo of the Altea Library

4 July 2025

From 7 to 29 July, the BiblioLab Creativo of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Altea of the Miguel Hernández University hosts the exhibition #HicieronHistoria, a trilingual exhibition (Spanish, Valencian and English) that pays tribute to women scientists who have transformed history with their contributions.

The exhibition presents a careful selection of illustrated biographies of women scientists from different periods, cultures and disciplines. Through an educational and inclusive approach, #HicieronHistoria aims to break with the stereotype of the scientist as a man in a lab coat, vindicating female talent in the scientific field.

The exhibition is part of the BEATRICS project, promoted by the UMH with the support of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), which seeks to promote scientific vocations in equality, integrating new methodologies into the school curriculum.

In addition to the illustrative panels, the exhibition includes a scientific treasure hunt accessible to all people with reading skills, with the aim of making science accessible and participatory.

️Admission to the exhibition is free and can be visited from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 8:00 pm. The associated documentary series is available at umhsapiens.com/mujer-ciencia.
