The UMH Library, in collaboration with EBSCO, is organising a training session entitled ‘Técnicas de investigación con herramientas avanzadas de bases de datos científicas’, aimed exclusively at users from the UMH university community.

This activity is open to undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students, teaching and research staff, and library staff at Miguel Hernández University who are interested in improving and optimising their search for scientific information in specialised databases.

During a 60-minute session, the EBSCOhost platform will be presented, addressing how to perform effective and high-quality searches for scientific information. The different databases available on EBSCOhost according to areas of knowledge will be presented, as well as strategies for optimising search results through the use of thesauri, filters, and operators.

It will also showcase tools and features supported by artificial intelligence, designed to improve the accuracy, relevance and efficiency of searches.
