The latest summer reading selections are now available at the UMH libraries in Orihuela and Elche. This selection brings together a wide variety of titles in Spanish, Valencian and English, covering a range of genres, themes and literary styles.

The selection in Spanish includes titles by renowned authors such as Isabel Allende, Caro Claire Burke, Han Kang and Eduardo Mendoza. It also features historical novels, thrillers, Japanese literature, popular science books and essays on wellbeing, education, psychology and current affairs.

Literature in Valencian also features prominently amongst this year’s new releases. Readers will be able to enjoy works such as Després del naufragi by Albert Sánchez Piñol, Nits de Pesta by Orhan Pamuk, and El metge del rei by Joan Olivares. This selection offers historical novels, contemporary fiction and emotionally gripping stories to discover over the summer.

These new releases can be requested from any of the University’s campuses thanks to the inter-campus loan service, which allows users to receive their copies at the library closest to them.
