The UMH Reading Club continues to hold its meetings; our next session is on 26 May at the UMH Library on the Elche campus, in the Altabix Building.

This month we have chosen “Vozdevieja” by Elisa Victoria. This novel takes us back to the 1990s through the eyes of a nine-year-old girl living in a neighbourhood of Seville. The protagonist observes the adult world with a mixture of curiosity, unease and a rather unsettling clarity.
