Last Tuesday, June 17, took place the last meeting of the UMH Reading Club, which closed the academic year with the work “La Trenza” by Laetitia Colombani as the main reading. During the meeting, the members of the club shared their impressions about the novel, which has been acclaimed for its sensitivity and for intertwining the stories of three women in different parts of the world united by their desire for freedom.

As a culmination, the participants collaboratively created a panel of literary quotations taken from the books read during the year. This initiative served as a tribute to the works that have accompanied the group throughout the sessions and as a testimony of the reflections that have emerged in each meeting. In addition, a small gift was given to the attendees, in appreciation for their involvement, their perseverance and the enriching atmosphere they have built together in each session.

With this activity, the UMH Reading Club says goodbye until next September, consolidating itself as a meeting space around literature and shared critical thinking.
