The Chair of Accessibility and Inclusive Environment \u2018Francisco Carre\u00f1o Castilla\u2019 <\/strong>of the Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University of Elche and the Asisa Foundation presented the Francisco Carre\u00f1o 2024 Awards <\/strong>at a ceremony held on 16 October.<\/p>\n

One of them has gone to the UMH LIBRARY, <\/strong>specifically the distinction and award in the section \u2018Breaking Barriers 2024<\/strong>\u2019 has been for the BIBac Project: Accessible Libraries<\/strong>, which aims to \u2018improve accessibility to all those with functional diversity, whether they are members of the university community or not\u2019 and make available the available resources and specific support products.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the synergies established between the UMH Library Service and its four branches on the UMH campuses, with the Chair itself, the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Transfer and the Disability Support Unit, \u2018progress has been made in the application of the rights recognised in the regulations for the inclusion of people with disabilities at UMH\u2019.<\/p>\n
